Society of peri- operative Nursing India is pleased to announce the National Pre-Conference Workshop & Conference, being organized by Institute of NursingEducation and Research, AIIMS Bathinda from 17 to 19 May 2024. The theme ofthe conference is, “Excellence in Peri-operative Nursing Practices: Establishingculture of safety”. This three days academic feast will provide you an opportunityto learn and hear from National Nursing fraternity.

AIIMS Bathinda: AIIMS Bathinda was envisaged in 2003 under Pradhan Mantri SwasthyaSuraksha Yojana (PMSSY) with a vision of providing state-of-the art affordable health careservices to the people of Punjab and neighbouring states. It also manadates providing qualitymedical education and setting high standards in research with a focus on regional healthproblems and issues. The institute started with the admission of the first batch of MBBSstudents on 24th August 2019. OPD services initiated in Dec 2019. AIIMS Bathinda hasgradually expanded its IPD services with 750 bedded hospital. Now it is running with morethan 39 functional departments including speciality and super speciality departments. Institute of Nursing Education and Research, INER, AIIMS, Bathinda has been started in theyear 2021. It started its first academic session on 1st March 2022 with its first batch of nursingstudents with an annual intake of 60 students. The admissions are conducted through thecommon National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) For Nursing by the NationalTesting Agency (NTA). Society of peri-operative Nursing: Society was officially registered on 20th December, 2019under the society registrations Act, 1860 of Government of India [Act No. 21 of year 1860; Reg.No. UK06003122019002884, dated 20.12.2019]. The society is organizing various educationalactivities for promoting patient safety by using best evidence-based practices.
